Dear Russ, Reading your story has given me, a Speech Language Pathology graduate student at New York University, a whole new insight to the life of someone who stutters. It truly was amazing and touching to hear your remarkable personal account of your life with stuttering. The few people that you mentioned who have told you that you are an inspiration are very brave for contacting you, a stranger at first, and telling you about how you've touched them. I wonder how many people over the years you've inspired and will never know about. I bet the list is endless. As someone who has never dealt with a communication 'problem' I can't even imagine what day to day life must be like. I give you and so many others so much credit and all my admiration for doing what you do everyday. I think joining Toastmasters was an amazing opportunity for you and others and when I become a practicing SLP perhaps I will be the one to hold a *gun* to someone's head and be forcing them to join. :) Once again, thanks for your story. You've touched me with such a heart-warming personal story, not only as a future SLP, but as a person. All the best, Antoinette
