Hi Shanel, ..... What a remarkable story you've just told me! I'm glad I had a part in helping you and your stepfather talk about his stuttering. I'm sure you're aware that the vast majority of people who stutter do NOT consider stuttering a gift. I was lucky in my life that special things happened to me so that I could realize that perspective. ..... If you haven't read it yet, read Ellen-Marie Silverman's article titled "Mind Matters" in this ISAD conference. She explains a lot that may have direct bearing on all this. It's a remarkable paper.
