Hi Mr. Hicks, I am currently a graduate student at Kean University. Recently, two guest speakers, both PWS, came to speak to our class. Their stories were very moving and inspirational. I do wish, after having read your article that I had made an effort to speak to them after class and let them know that what they said had made a difference in my life. They confirmed what you said in your article "The Iceberg Analogy of Stuttering". The young lady who shared her story, told us that a wonderful therapist had helped her with self-esteem issues and the underlying issues that you describe as being at the bottom of the iceberg. She said that this therapist helped her immensely in her life. What she said inspired me, and I decided that was the kind of therapist that I would like to become. I thought that it was very brave for this couple to share such personal information with our class, but so beneficial to students who are entering the field. Thank you for sharing your story with everyone, and inspiring others to share theirs. Shelley
