Hi Tara, ..... Thanks for your kind words. ..... In answer to your question, oh yes, definitely! There are hundreds of Toastmasters who stutter. At our National Stuttering Association national conference every year we have a Toastmaster Demo Meeting and workshop. It's always wildly popular! ..... As a matter of fact in 1995 I did, indeed establish the first Toastmaster club in the world for people who stutter. It's Callier Communicators right here in Dallas and the website is http://www.geocities.com/callier3216/ Since then I believe there are several other Toastmaster clubs who have followed our lead. ..... Stuttering is no reason not to be a Toastmaster. We can do it just as well as anyone. It's about COMMUNICATION, not fluency. We play by the same rules as everyone else and as long as we communicate well - which we CAN - we get along just fine, and have a LOT of fun! ..... As Mikey says (or use to say), "Try it! You'll like it!" <grin> See http://www.toastmasters.org ..... My best to you! ..... Russ
