Hi Lauren, ..... Thanks for your kind words. They really do mean a lot to me. ..... I loved your statement, "...so that I will be able to help people not to hide from life." YESSS! PERFECT!!! That's EXACTLY what you need to do. I deal with people all the time that are trying to hide from life and are miserable at doing that. If ONLY they would let their light shine on the people around them, they would know what joy is theirs just for the asking! ..... Keep on listening to Lee - and if possible to her amazing son Michael who also stutters. He's a true inspiration! And she really knows first hand what she's talking about. She's amazing. ..... You also said, "...I can only hope that as a future Speech Pathologist, I will be able to make a meaningful contribution to the clients that I help." Ha, ha, ha! Ask and thou shalt receive - a thousand fold! As a future SLP, you'll have more opportunities to affect other people's lives than you can possibly imagine. The bad news is that you probably won't even hear about 99% of them. But the good news is that the 1% that you DO hear back from will make everything you do all worthwhile! .....
