I must say, your story is extremely inspiring (I'm sure you never hear that)! Not only have you gone from hardly ever speaking in front of groups of people to speaking in front of people on a regular basis, you do it while stuttering and not feeling ashamed. I was impressed with your stories of the individuals whose lives you've changed. I believe that in your case stuttering is most definitely a gift because of your positive view regarding stuttering and your willingness to help others with their speaking skills, whether they stutter or not. Ironically, I have been thinking about joining Toastmasters in my area but I am extremely nervous when speaking to more than a few people. How were you able to overcome your anxiety when speaking to groups of people? What do you do to prepare yourself before a speech? Thanks for your paper - I really enjoyed reading it!
