Hi Mr. Hicks, I’m a graduate student on my way to becoming a speech language pathologist. I really enjoyed reading your paper. It was so positive, which isn’t necessarily the view we perceive when thinking about stuttering. I had a friend, who stuttered all the way from elementary school through high school, and who I’m sure still does, but his view on his stuttering wasn’t what I would have considered negative. He never let his stuttering get in the way of things he wanted to do. While going to school with him we never focused on his stuttering, which I think was in part due to his positive attitude about himself. This article reminded me of him and how there are people who view their stuttering from a different perspective. Thanks for the great article!
