I did go back and read your article on the Iceberg Matrix (as well as your '03 paper you referenced), and you were right. I did enjoy both of them. I particularly like the X-Y axis idea, one for the disfluencies and one for the fear factor. In some publications, it appears that the two factors are more correlated (i.e., few disfluencies = small fear and many disfluencies = hugh fear). I like the way the Matrix can account for someone like "Cheryl" (high on the observable characteristics axis but fearless on the fear axis. I also think it gives a clearer picture of where to go in therapy. Again, many thanks.
