I really enjoyed your article and, like everyone else, found it extremely inspiring. What it made me most aware of was that as an SLP my job will be to optimize the functionality of my clients in all circumstances of their lives, not cure them. So, for stutterers, if their fluency can be improved--great but, the most important point is giving them the skills to navigate every area of their life to the fullest extent possible. Their own acceptance of their speech patterns is the most crucial aspect of full functioning.
