I absolutlely agree with Nan that having an interest in fluency makes a difference. I teach the graduate fluency course at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry New York and supervise the majority of the fluency clients here in our clinic. Word of mouth that we treat stuttering as well as me being on the SFA referral list has increased our referrals. I do not think these clients appeared out of nowhere but I think we made ourselves known to them. Elizabeth
