With the wide breadth of our field, I think it would be very hard to be proficient in every aspect. But, I do think it is important to be as proficient as you can. At my university, it is required to take Fluency class and I love it. The hard part is taking what we learn in the class and applying it to situations. It isn't the easiest finding someone who does have a disfluency, and using therapy with them. So it is almost like we can gain the skills, but there is no real life situation to practice it on.
