Hi Dr. Kroll: Thanks for the response. No no - I am not despairing at all. I am with you on what you say. Thanks to some avoidance reduction/stuttering modification based therapy, my quality of life has significantly improved for the better, where communication for me is not a major issue. I was trying to speculate on the reason for low interest in fluency as a discipline within SLP and on a way to increase it.
