Hi Emily, First off let me tell you that you are very fortunate to have someone like Judy Kuster in your program. As our surveys have shown, there are very few of us who have a real passion for stuttering and its treatment. It is like a dominoe effect as it results in very limited numbers of clinical placement opportunities to work with people who stutter. I might suggest trying to locate a clinic or clinician within reasonable distance of your location who does this work. Take some time to visit this person and perhaps request if you could observe a session or two and perhaps even shadow him/her for a day. Try to establish a relationship with that clinician who you might come to view as a sort of mentor in fluency disorders. Good luck!!
