I know that so many graduate programs out there strive to make proficient generalists in treatment and theory areas...and what other choice is there? The ultimate goal would be to produce a therapist who is not just prepared, but also conifident and effective in treatment of many disorders, including fluency. For this reason I love the mention of the workshop. I for one, would be all about a workshop that gave treatment tips, theory, exposure to individuals who stutter or have fluency issues, and pratical experience. What a great way to incporporate a little more time to the area!
