I was very interested in this thread. If, and I say if the students are less interested in stuttering for the reasons outlined, what can we do? By we, I mean you the professionals and we, the PWS. I know recovering stutterers have offered to talk to students, and I assume this takes place, if scheduled class time allows. Does it happen enough? Can we do more to get the message to students that we (PWS) need their support to help us (PWS) to stutter more freely and by removing pressure / anxiety / and other destructive emotions, become more fluent? I am a recovering PWS from the UK wanting to help other PWS both directly and indirectly.
