I am currently taking a graduate course in Stuttering. My professor invites individuals who stutter to speak to the class, and she enriches the coursework with videotapes of children, adolescents and adults who stutter. I believe that the course is laying the groundwork for us to build upon with continuing education workshops and classes. We are also learning that every individual who stutters is different, and when we become practicing clinicians we will learn from each client aspects of stuttering that will expand our understanding and effectiveness.
