It is very disheartening to realize how many SLPs feel unprepared to work with fluency disorders. As a future SLP, I want to feel confident to work with any client who walks through my door. I am currently enrolled in a fluency class and I appreciate the valuable information I am taking away from it. I do think that clinical fluency hours are hard to come by. It is a very good idea to enroll in workshops to supplement education on any disorder that an SLP is not comfortable treating.
