I am currently in my first year of grad school and I am taking a fluency course...as far as I know this is the only course on stuttering that I will be taking before getting my masters degree...my question is, because stuttering is somewhat common, why doesn't ASHA require that student clinicians get as many hours and experiences in working with people who stutter when compared to articulation, and language hours? I think that most student clinicians would agree that because stuttering is so interesting, it would be nice to get more experiences and maybe another class added at the graduate level.
