Hi Heather, Thankyou for your questions. Parents of children who received the Lidcombe Program by telehealth delivery in the current study completed 3 questionnaires over a 12 month period following completion of Stage 1 treatment. High levels of parent satisfaction with both the treatment process and the outcome of treatment were demonstrated by the responses. There has been a limited number of studies into the telehealth delivery of SLP services emerging over the past 30 or so years, so the evidence remains limited at this stage. Hill & Theodorus (2002)(Hill, A., & Theodorus, D. 2002. Research into telehealth applications of speech-language pathology. Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare, 8, 187-196)provide an excellent review of the telehealth literature. They identified 13 studies and evaluated the evidence provided. I would suggest this article to be an excellent starting point. I hope this information is useful, Chris.
