Molly, A very interesting question!!!!!Many people turned up for the speech therapy sessions and it was the first time for some to come in touch with speech therapists. some came with the feeling that they were to be prescribed drugs and is the case here when one meets a health care provider. From the sessions that they attended, many got the information that speech therapy consists of counseling and teaching of some fluency techniques. As a result of their attending these speech therapy sessions many have joined our support group for PWS and are learning a lot from it.
