I agree that positive parent involvement is the key to helping children who stutter. Do you have any suggestions of how to approach parents who are using reactive responses to their child's stuttering? How can we help them change their ways to a more proactive reaction style? In which ways can we help the parents understand they are not to blame for their child's stuttering? Also, I noticed in the last paragraph of your paper that students were being discriminated against for their stuttering by being removed from class elections and given shorter lines in plays. I think the teachers could have reacted in a more positive way instead of drawing attention to the child's stuttering. I think it is important that teachers are educated about ways to respond to stuttering to prevent situations like this from happening again.
