This depends on age of child and his/her comfort, age, awareness, etc. I find most children age 8 or older find this intrusive and identifies them as having a speech problem like a verbal correction. Many have confided this with me. Other kids may ask why they need the special signals etc. things to consider. Cheers, Tim
