I went through this as a kid who stuttered. However, I learned everything about counselng via post-graduate study in NLP and Neurosemantics. The art of conducting therapy with families is called conversational reframing, cognitive reorganization, or cognitive remediation. This is the technology of conversation that leads a person (parent or teacher) to consider new ways of responding. You can visit neurosemantics.com or nlpco.com for trainings. You can visit chpus.com for books. good luck, Tim
