So many wonderful letters, toughts, comments. Thank you all. I'd just like to refer you to a couple of resources. My thoughts are largely expanded upon in the new book, Stuttering Research and Practice: Volume 2, Current Issues and Approaches, Bernstein-Ratner & Tetnowksi (Eds.), Lawrence Erlbaum, Mahwah, NJ, 2006. Nan asked me to write the chapter on integrated treatment and its getting great response. Also, as I've mentioned in a few of my postings here to individuals, FYI, the place/program I was enormously helped by is the Option Institute in Sheffield, Massachusetts. I was attratced there in the late 80's as I was searching for more ways to help my clients with the psychological, emotional, etc. aspects of stuttering. It's ad said "for those in the helping professions"...it spoke to me. I went for several programs and but I've sent my staff and they've all loved it. I haven't been back since '90 but the impacts remain with me daily. So I highly recommend checking it out at option.org. Have a beautiful day!
