I don't think there is any rule that goes for all. My stutter varies from day to day, from moment to moment, and sometimes speech techniques make me totally fluent, while under other circumstances they don't. Why? I wish I knew... I stopped chasing "the fluency god" and started to lead my life and follow my dreams. That on itself has increased my fluency. This might proof my private theory that the physical part of my stuttering is inherited, but that the mechanism controlling my stuttering is depending on how I feel inside. Does that make any sense? Anita
