After reading Extra-ordinary people who stutter, I am becoming more and more aware of how a Speech and Language Pathologist role might not always be adressing specifics of stuttering. So many have mentioned how self-esteem plays a huge role in feeling sucessful. As a student, I feel that it is important to address this within our counseling courses and to make sure that as professionals, we are comfortable with helping issues that may arise due to low self-esteem.
