Katrina, you asked about a therapy trend involving socioeconomic status (ses) and stuttering. I believe there is something to this. I have worked with families of children who stutter for about 20 years now. It seems to me that higher ses families bring more issues that impact negatively to treatment than those of a lower ses status (schedule, expectations, etc.). I have had my best success with middle and lower ses families as a general rule. I am interested in why you are interested in this topic. Care to respond? Thanks for a good question.
