Thank you, Peter, for a wonderful article. I applaud your efforts to aide children in viewing their stuttering in new ways, as well as their parents, teachers, and family members. To accept oneself as a stutterer/person who stutters (yes, I do use the terms interchangably) does not preclude the reality that there will still be challenging days. At these times, tellng myself that I am "stuttering well" helps me get through the day. With the decades of negative self-thinking I have had about stuttering, being able to view my stutter in a light-hearted way is a gift. Thank you, too, for mentioning Jonathan Skurnik's and my film, "Spit It Out," in your article. I appreciate the nonjudgmental concept of "living with stuttering."
