Mr. Reitze, I enjoyed reading about your work on positive language with people who stutter. I am a graduate student at New York University and in my class we have researched how the environment effects a person's fluency. I myself believe it is very important to modify the way we refer to their performance. I would have to agree with every point you make. I am curious about your opinion on how we can make teachers and parents aware of this technique. As clinicians we should not be the only people using positive language. Do you think it is important that teachers become trained specifically on how to work with children who stutter? While most parents just attend coping groups for their children, do you think they should have more intense intervention on their child or family member who stutters. I am looking forward to hearing your opinion on this matter. Thanks, Sara Jacobs
