A. Doin, thanks for writing. You ask, “Have the people you worked with mostly like to be referred to as "stutterers" or "people who stutter"? It completely depends on the person. Some like stutterer, some like person who stutters, some think the whole discussion is just silly. You also ask about the “stigmatizing connotation of the term ‘stutterer.’” Again, it all depends on who you ask. I think that the research by St. Louis on this topic is very impressive.
