i am a master's degree candidate at new york university. im inclined to think that in today's world, with advances in technology, are there increased potentials for equality in the work place? i'm considering the fact that a good deal of work is done through email and internet correspondance. while this method of communication and career activity may serve as a type of avoidance (from human interaction), it is still often a MORE effective and efficient way to accomplish tasks. even fluent speakers, in many situations can accomplish MORE without face to face interaction. so... do you think that people who stutter will feel better about their positions and opportunities in the work place as the world moves farther and farther along into the wide world of internet??
