Hello Ashley: The optimist in me thinks that educating people about stuttering would help. From my own experience, I speak to many people who still think that stutterers are: a) Pyschologically troubled/nervous b) Less intelligent or capable I think that explaining to people that stuttering is a physical problem and that PWS (people who stutter) perform very well in all fields of endeavor would help. If we could get employers to understand this, I think it would go a long way... Thanks again for the question. Professor Marshall Rice York University
