I am a first year graduate student and have found your article to be very interesting. There has been lots of national news coverage in the past about discrimination of sex, race, religion in the workplace, but none about stuttering. I know you have stated before that you don't know how successful filing grievances has been for the PWS, but in your opinion, if more PWS file grievances and the discrimination became more nationally recognized, would it bring a more positive work environment for the PWS or would it hinder employees from hiring a PWS in the first place? I ask this because I have worked for the state as a college office assistant and have dealt with people filing grievances and sometimes the grievances cause the employers and sometimes fellow employees to respond negatively to the person filing the grievance. I am also interested at the fact that the PWS in your study believe they don't make as much money as they should. Do you know of any studies that compare the salaries of a PWS to a person who does not stutter who may be working the same type of job where they should be getting paid equally?
