Hi Megan: I agree that a significant number of employers view stuttering as a handicap. Based on various research studies, it seems like many view it as a 'mental or psychological' handicap. That is, they view people who stutter as being psychologically limited or troubled. In some respects, this may be even harder to combat than employers viewing the problem as a physical handicap.
