Hi Stephani: Thanks for the question. I am (unfortunately) not an expert on the best ways to educate employers and co-workers about the problems faced by stutterers. My work has been based mostly on identifying the problem. However, I believe that workshops and written materials would help. I know that many people do not know the cause of stuttering and believe it is psychologically based or that it makes the person less 'capable'. Any attempts to increase awareness of this fallacy seem like it would be worthwhile. Best regards, Dr. Marshall Rice
