I agree Stepheni. I don't think that we as speech-language pathologists have done enough to educate the public, including employment settings about such conditions as stuttering, Part of the difficulty is that many clinicians are simply overloaded with their clinical caseloads and simply cannot get the time to engage in public awareness campaigns. Articles like the one done by Dr. Rice and myself may serve to identify these needs and perhaps motivate some in our profession to devote more time to public awareness and sensitivity.
