Kudos to you for breaking out of the stuttering prison. I especially liked (and wholeheartedly agree with) your last paragraph: staying true to one's intentions (what you refer to as one's "compass") is all that one CAN do and I would even venture to say, all that IT TAKES for success. It's power should never be underestimated. One question: did you have access to any speech therapy or did you draw inspiration/ideas from any books that you read on stuttering?
