First of all I would like to commend you on overcoming your fears and being persistant in reaching your goals. I really enjoyed reading your story because it is so inspiring. I do not stutter but I am so inspired by your story because it can apply to so many other people and the obstacles that they may go through other than stuttering. As an SLP graduate student I have witnessed the effects that stuttering can have on people. I believe that your story should serve as an example of how attaining goals are possible for those who stutter and feel that they will never reach their goals. I absolutely love the analogy at the end of your paper because again I feel that this can apply to so many other aspects. However, I do have a question. Did you receive any professional therapy for your stuttering, or did you learn to control it on your own?
