Hi Prakhar, Thank you for sharing your experiences as a PWS with us. First hand experiences are very important to help us, as future speech-language pathologists, learn what it is like to be a person who stutters so that we can help them become more fluent. It's too bad that your teachers in high school and college did not take the approach that many teachers now do with students in their classes who stutter. As we are learning in my Fluency Disorders class in grad school, classroom teachers can often work hand-in-hand with the school speech-language pathologist, students who stutter and parents of those students. Together they can develop a plan to allow the student to have alternatives to oral classroom presentations, such as presenting during break time or completing written assignments. At least students now don't have to go through the pain that many others have experienced. Thanks again for sharing with us and I am glad you followed your dreams. - Rachel
