Hello Prakhar! I hate to sound like a broken record but your story was extremely moving. I am currently a graduate student at NYU studying Speech-Language Pathology and I am taking my first course on stuttering. It is personal stories such as yours that make me want to pursue this career. I admire the fact that you decided to stop relaying on avoidance behaviors and it is an understatement to say that I can’t imagine how hard that must have been. You mentioned in your article that it was hard for your family and college friends to relate to your stuttering. Did you ever attend any support groups for PWS or talk to anyone in depth about your feelings about stuttering?
