Hi Eva, You say: >>”You mentioned that SLP's were not/are not widely available in India and therefor therapy was not an option.”<< I don't recall myself ever saying that. All I said was -- and this was in response to various questions posted – here, in India, unlike some other countries there isn't a speech therapist (or SLP) attached with schools. They have their own private practice. In fact, I did have some speech therapy. You also say: >>”I was wondering if something as simple as a support group would have been beneficial for you as you were growing up, especially during your teenage years?<<” Of-course! It really helps knowing that one is not alone, and the wisdom and insight of many people do touch you in a profound and deep manner. You further ask:>>”Also, how did your parents and other relatives react to your stuttering? <<” I was lucky to have very supportive parents. Being non-stutterers they sometimes found it hard to relate to my stutter, but they always had the best of intentions. And, yeah, my mom worried a lot. :-) Now I always tell her; “I'm dealing with it, mom -- no worries!”:-) Thanks for appreciating my article. Best regards, Prakhar
