Hello Mr. Sachan! My name is Brooke and I'm a first year graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology. I was inspired by your courage as I read your story. Reading your paper opened my eyes to what people who stutter experience on a daily basis. I sometimes think I take "simple" things (such as saying my name, speaking on the telephone etc...) for granted and don't consider how difficult and frustrating it can be for someone who stutters. You worked extremely hard to over-come your fears and frustrations. It was wonderful to hear that you decided to pursue the career that initially interested you! It sounded as if you worked independently to overcome your struggle. Did you at any point consider receiving treatment from a SLP? Also, how did your family or others assist you in this process?
