Hi Jen, Thank you very much for your generous remarks! I'm already flattered! :-) You say: >>” The one question I have for you is if you have had any fluency therapy. If you have, at what point in your life did it occur, what approach was taken, and what are your views on your therapeutic experience as well as SLP intervention as a whole?”<< Yes, I have had speech therapy. It happened when I was in my late teen/early twenties.(in this regard, you might also want to read my response to Tara Bauman just above yours) It was a combination of phonation exercises, use of DAF, easy onset, rate control, light contact etc....conventional speech therapy so to say. On my therapeutic experience.... well, speech therapy in itself didn't do much for me. Because it primarily focused on the physical manifestation of stuttering, whereas in my opinion there is far more to stuttering than just a speech problem. It is when I adopted a holistic approach, and started viewing stuttering from 'holistic lens', rather than as a stand alone entity, I learnt a lot of new things which earlier were just obscured by my narrow vision. As such, I started making headways. Regarding SLP intervention.... I'm not sure how to answer that, because I'm not a stuttering expert! :-) All I can say is, SLPs do have a critical part to play in a stutterers life. Especially, during the formative years. All the best with your studies, and your becoming an SLP! Take care, Prakhar
