Ah, sadly, it's time to say good-bye.... :-( I really enjoyed my stint on this year's online conference. It was an honor as well. Judy Kuster deserves accolades for putting this conference together – once again! I tremendously admire the work she relentlessly does for the stuttering community. Absolutely magnificent! Thank You, Judy!! Without her, my paper wouldn't have been possible. It was she who persuaded me into writing this paper. Initially I was reluctant in sharing my story – the inherently shy person I'm. :-) But she taught me, and rightly so, presenting on this conference would be another step towards self-acceptance and being open about my stuttering. By presenting on this conference, I have reached a new level of personal growth and self-acceptance. For someone who was a strict covert like me, to telling the world I stutter (right away at a Google click!!) – I'm experiencing my “a-ha” moment!:-) The response has been fabulous. I have enjoyed answering to questions posted to me. Thank you everyone for stopping by and commenting. In the process I learnt , and most importantly re-enforced certain ideas. Although this threaded discussion is now closed, I can still be reached via e-mail at <prakharsachan<at>gmail<dot>com>. (Replace the <at> as “@” and <dot> as “.” without the double quotes.) Feel free to e-mail me if you have something to say in regards to my paper, or if you want some information about TISA(The Indian Stammering Association). We (the ISA team) are working towards it, and we need more, and more members to reach out millions of Indians with this speech impediment. If you're reading this, I wish you a wonderful life! I'll conclude by one of the quotes that reminds me of staying in the NOW.... “It's not the destination.....it's the journey there!” Make sure, you pace your PRESENT steps well! Good luck and all the best! Sincerely, Prakhar Sachan
