Dr. Shames, Dean Williams interviewed me for my admission into grad school at Iowa - he stuttered more than I did and I didn't know what to think of it. Dr. Johnson took me on as one of two stutterers who he worked with in his last years of life. Now, after 40 years of being a speech pathologist and as I enter into the age of Medicare this month I appreciated being reminded of the pioneer work these giants did. I know these posts aren't supposed to be personal so I won't comment further, but just wanted to say thank you for an excellent article that said so many important things.
