I agree with your observations. Discriminations against people who are different is an unfortunate dimension of our society, and not limited to people who stutter. Such discriminations against stutterers may come from all of the sources you mention. It is helpful to not be alone, but rather to share with people that you trust (clinicians, self advocacy groups, family, PWS, etc, those aspects of your life experiences that you are comfortable in sharing. If you are a part of the culture of stuttering it is necessary to became familiar with the many variations of feelings, values, fears that you may not necessarily experience; but you should not rmain an outsider looking in, but rather as a member who wants to be helpful. Learning how to counsel would be helpful.
