I really appreciated the information you presented on the history of stuttering. Something I find very important about what is exceptionally needed in therapy is working on the person's feelings and behaviors that are part of the problem as well, such as avoidance, negative self-valuing and self-identity, frustration and helplessness. As you said, the person's fluency is not the only aspect to address in therapy. Thus, why stuttering is said to be multidimensional.
