Since stuttering occurs in sign language, do you think that stuttering should be explored as a possible neurogenic disorder instead of a speech disorder? I suggested it as a possible neurogenic disorder because of the disruptions that occur when oral stuttering and ceasing of signing happens simultaneously? Therefore, my assumption is that there may be a breakdown neurologically that causes this loss of effective expressive communication.
