Greg and Ilia I have very much enjoyed your discussion. Allow me to jump in with a few questions/ comments. 1.Greg -Is it not possible that this new stuttering in expressive communication is all about performance anxiety. I speak as someone who formerly had the golfing "yips" and know it was EXACTLY the same as how I felt when stuttering. Ilia. I have met pws who speak fluently when public speaking but will stutter in one-one conversation. What I am suggesting is that conditioning has a huge impact. Obviously I am sitting up the psychological tree from where I can still see Pavlov's dog salivating to the sound of chimes.
