Your article was thought provoking. I was particularly interested in your statement that processing errors (that stuttering is a response to) may represent limitations or malfunctions in the formulation, processing, or execution of expressive output or communication. Just recently I have been reading about DAF devices and it occurred to me that errors in the link between feedback and subsequent motor programming or execution might also explain some stuttering across modalities. For instance, I wonder if DAF would improve fluency when playing instruments in the same way it enhances verbal fluency in some?
